The role of Asset Finance Risk Manager is a dynamic position that requires the ability to navigate complex financial transactions with precision and accuracy. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and managing credit risk within the boundaries of our organization's risk appetite and service levels.

**Job Overview:**

This Asset Finance Risk Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that our business maintains a strong reputation for delivering high-quality asset finance solutions to our customers. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including Business Development Managers and Account Managers, to build and maintain strong relationships and ensure that our customers receive exceptional service.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Advise on structuring and underwriting large and/or complex transactions;
  • Manage transaction flow within credit to ensure that service levels are maintained - goal 24 hours;
  • Build, maintain and develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders;
  • Maintain a culture of continuous improvement;

**Requirements:**

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience in underwriting asset/equipment finance transactions;
  • Knowledge of commercial finance products, including operating lease, finance lease, and chattel mortgage;
  • Tertiary qualifications in a banking, finance, commerce, economics or other related field;
  • Strong numerical and financial analysis skills, including the ability to discuss financial reports and associated information with stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and develop relationships with intermediaries, customers, sellers, and staff;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • A commercial mindset;
  • Willingness to learn;
