Senior Application Specialist Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Application Specialist is responsible for the development, enhancement, and support of technical components in 3rd party applications.

  • Develop and enhance technical components in 3rd party applications to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data-related issues to determine how best to resolve application integrity issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical assistance to business teams relating to general application queries affecting their functional areas and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents raised by application monitoring, following ITIL best practice for incident management.
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues before they affect deliverables, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to technical components and systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Requirements and Experience:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, C# (Model-View-Controller or similar pattern), secure Web API, Deployment, and packaging.
  • Knowledge of JSON, object-oriented programming concepts, and Microsoft SQL Server 2017 (or later).
  • Experience with .NET Core 3.1 or later (latest is .NET 8.x), version control, Internet Information Services (IIS), Australian citizenship, and current or reinstatable AGSVA NV1 Security clearance.
