The Senior Application Specialist is responsible for the development, enhancement, and support of technical components in 3rd party applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and support technical components in 3rd party applications.
  • Enhance application components where appropriate.
  • Respond to alerts raised by application monitoring, investigate, and resolve.
  • Follow ITIL best practice for incident management.
  • Proactively check processes to identify issues before they affect deliverables.
  • Analyze data-related issues to determine how best to resolve application integrity issues.
  • Provide application support for all business applications and interfaces.
  • Offer technical assistance to business teams relating to general application queries affecting their functional areas.
  • Involvement in project handovers to ensure a smooth transition to production support.
  • Evaluate database performance, replication, and data backups to ensure efficient operation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • HTML
  • C# (Model-View-Controller or similar pattern, secure Web API, deployment, and packaging)
  • JSON
  • Object-oriented programming concepts
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2017 (or later version): TSQL, stored procedures/views, knowledge in database schema, indexing, performance optimization
  • .NET Core 3.1 or later version (latest is .NET 8.x)
  • Version control
  • Internet Information Services (IIS)
