The clinical nurse position in this role involves working closely with the clinical nurse specialist to support and coordinate care for refugee children with complex health needs.

This role requires a compassionate and skilled clinician who is able to provide advanced clinical expertise to ensure safe, evidence-based, and family-centred care.

  • Key responsibilities include providing advanced clinical expertise to ensure safe, evidence-based, and family-centred care. This includes contributing to our multidisciplinary refugee rapid assessment pathway, helping families access timely diagnostic assessments, interventions, and essential supports.
  • Collaborating with community health services and partner organisations to deliver holistic, patient-centred care is another key aspect of this role.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating safe and efficient outpatient care with medical, nursing, and allied health teams.
Requirements
  • Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • A minimum of four years' experience in a similar role is preferred, however we welcome applications from nurses who have a strong desire to work in this field.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and situations is crucial for success in this role.
