About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Knowledge Paralegal to join our team. As a key member of our Knowledge Management team, you will play a crucial role in providing research support to our lawyers and contributing to the development of high-quality technical content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to support our lawyers and contribute to the development of technical content.
  • Utilize various databases and online resources to gather information and stay up-to-date on the latest legal developments.
  • Prepare well-structured written materials based on research findings and collaborate with lawyers to produce high-quality content.
  • Assist in the maintenance of our Knowledge intranet site and Library Catalogue, ensuring that information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Develop and maintain media alerts on the Manzama platform and organize Learning & Development sessions to enhance the skills of our team members.
  • Update internal litigation trackers and create client-facing versions of captured data, working closely with local Knowledge Management teams and partners.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Law or eligibility to be admitted.
  • Excellent legal database and online research skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Solid experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of research activities and their application in a legal context.
  • Highly competent in various IT applications, including MS Office and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with HighQ Collaborate is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with lawyers, partners, and global counterparts.
  • Excellent written skills, with previous experience in producing legal content for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize workloads and meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, initiative, and organizational skills, with a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ability to assimilate detail quickly, while retaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables within a tight timeframe and deliver high-quality work.
  • Proven experience in initiating and driving projects forward.
  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as collaborate in an experienced small team of professionals.
  • High level of confidentiality at all times.
