Telecommunications Network Operations Specialist

The Telecommunications Network Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of telecommunications networks. Key responsibilities include monitoring network performance, analysing alarms, and implementing quality solutions to resolve network and service issues.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Analyse system alerts using operational support tools, monitor network performance, and proactively take preventative measures to minimise service disruptions according to established procedures.
  • Develop cost-effective solutions to address network and service problems raised by customers or other stakeholders.
  • Apply prescribed solutions that meet customer requirements and existing service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Pursue restoration of network and service issues using pre-defined solutions. If not successful, gather relevant information to escalate to the next level of support either internally or externally.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of operating procedures, processes, and knowledge base as required.

This position requires a diploma or degree in electronics, information technology, or telecommunications engineering, or extensive industry experience. The ideal candidate will also possess certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or similar qualifications, as well as ITIL Certification.
