Job Overview

This position requires a senior network and email systems specialist to lead the technical strategy for an email platform, ensuring scalable, reusable, and aligned solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with top-tier telecommunications operators or major integrators, a strong understanding of application engineering on high availability platforms, and knowledge of RFC standards.

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Product Owner for Email, driving the evolution of our email platform and fostering cross-functional partnerships.

  • Main responsibilities include designing and leading deployment of complex email systems and network technologies, translating customer and regulatory requirements into scalable and cost-effective solutions, and driving automation, orchestration, and integration of Telstra's email platforms.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for evaluating vendor capabilities, contributing to strategic selection and delivery alignment, developing platform-specific roadmaps, and maintaining lifecycle documentation.
About You

You should have 10+ years of experience in the hosting, email application or IP Networking domains, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (Telecommunications/Computer/Electronic) or Computer Science, and experience working with live production networks and APIs.

  • Candidates should possess a strong understanding and appreciation of application engineering on high availability platforms, experience supporting POP, IMAP, SMTP, and DAV protocols, and knowledge of hardware, storage, OS, and applications.
  • Familiarity with Cisco, Dell, NetApp, Centos, Red Hat, Ubuntu, XCP, and email vendor applications is highly desirable.
