Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team at Wahlburgers. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence, guest experience, and team performance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including menu preparation, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and development of new staff members to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Coach and counsel existing staff to promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to achieve cost centre budgets and targets through effective planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Maintain our high standards for consistency in recipe and menu item execution, ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.
  • Close involvement in inventory management, ordering of food and supplies, and maintaining a safe and organized kitchen environment.
  • Ensure a safe and harassment-free environment for all Team Members and Managers, upholding our company's values and policies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' kitchen work experience in high-volume environments, with management or supervisory roles preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire cooperation and teamwork.
  • Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations, culinary skills, and commercial food preparation equipment.
  • Ability to manage inventory, allocate responsibilities, and prioritize efficiently, with a systematic approach to work.
  • Compliant and up to date on all necessary certifications, with a strong commitment to food safety and quality.
