Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced program director to lead our climate resilience program in Cambodia. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a program management team, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring effective implementation of the program.

The program involves an investment of AUD 75 million over 9 years, focusing on empowering Cambodia to tackle climate change challenges through innovative water resource management and inclusive development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mobilisation and Inception Phase:
    • Establish a program management team, including recruitment and onboarding of key staff.
    • Broker and establish stakeholder engagement with government officials, implementing partners, and private sector stakeholders.
    • Lead coordination and submission of inception phase deliverables, ensuring timely updates as required.
  • Delivery Phase:
    • Provide strategic leadership and performance management of the program, ensuring effective implementation, coordination, and achievement of outcomes across Cambodia.
    • Successfully lead the program management team and partners to ensure the program is delivered on time, on target, and in line with client expectations.
Requirements
  • At least 10-15 years of program management experience in managing complex programs focused on climate resilience, water resource management, or international development.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Development / International Studies, Integrated Water Management, WASH, Agriculture, Climate Change, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in managing competing demands and working with diverse stakeholders.
