Independent Anaesthetics Professional

The role of an Independent Anaesthetics Professional at our medical facility presents a unique opportunity for registered medical practitioners to contribute their skills and expertise in providing high-quality anaesthetic services.

This dynamic position allows professionals to work independently within a supervised clinical environment, assisting in various departments including the Interventional Suite, Labour ward, and Radiology Department. Key responsibilities include participating in Preadmission Clinics, the Acute Pain Service, and the Clinical Emergency Response Service (CERs).

To excel in this role, applicants must possess:

  • A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with registration eligibility through AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner for at least two years, showcasing progress towards career goals in Anaesthetics or Critical Care.
  • Clinical competency to work independently, coupled with strong problem-solving and time management skills in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • A commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and adherence to legal and ethical obligations in medical practice.
