As a key player in the development of revolutionary space technology, you will have the opportunity to support the creation of a sustainable human presence on other planets.
Job Overview:- This role involves driving the hardware development of systems within the Starship tower and launch mount from conceptualization through design, analysis, manufacturing, activation, and operational phases.
Main Responsibilities:
- Own the design and manufacturing of mechanisms, actuation systems, fluid systems, and large structures.
- Perform structural, dynamic, thermal, and fluids analysis as necessary to determine requirements and optimize the design of these systems.
- Collaborate with software and operation engineers to develop the concept of operations for launch mount systems, aiming to create robust, fault-tolerant systems and software that perform consistently in extreme conditions.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
- 1+ years of experience with mechanical or fluid systems design, analysis, and hands-on assembly (internship or project team experience qualify).
