Health and Safety Coordinator Role

This is a senior role that requires expertise in Health and Safety practices, systems and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support, coordination and advice to employees, contractors and visitors on all Health and Safety matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Influencing employees, contractors and visitors on Health and Safety matters
  • Providing support, coordination and advice on HSE practices, systems and procedures
  • Developing and administering education and compliance programs for employees, contractors and visitors
  • Assisting in the development of adequate HSE training within the Project

For this role, you will require strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, contractors and visitors. You must also have a strong understanding of health and safety legislation and codes of practice, as well as experience working under Victorian Workplace Health and Safety legislation and Codes of Practice.

Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
  • Experience in construction and engineering industries, heavy industry or other high-risk industry
  • Knowledge of business administration and ability to use HSE management and technique tools/software
