Description
Due to internal promotion, we have a new opportunity to join our Health & Safety team In this position, you’ll play a key role in developing and implementing return-to-work plans, ensuring team members feel supported, valued, and confident as they re-enter the workplace. You’ll work closely with individuals recovering from injury or illness, liaising with internal leaders, medical providers, and insurers to create smooth, tailored transitions. You will be a part of a busy and fast-paced environment supporting critical day-to-day operations and delivering on key projects.This full-time role is key to the Followmont network and would suit a motivated and enthusiastic professional with demonstrated problem solving and time management skills.
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinate and manage return-to-work (RTW) programs for injured or unwell team members.
- Act as a key point of contact for employees, offering support and guidance throughout the RTW process.
- Liaise with treating health professionals, rehabilitation providers, and insurance reps to ensure effective and timely recovery plans.
- Monitor progress and adjust RTW plans as needed, always keeping the wellbeing of the employee front and centre.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
- Contribute to a positive safety culture through proactive initiatives and clear communication.
- Identifying and contributing to safety improvements and safety programs
- Take part in the research and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), focusing on documenting operational tasks with all safety considerations identified
- Support team with regular emergency response training and annual ‘Evacuation’ exercises throughout the company
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Exposure to a similar environment with a background in Health & Safety is preferred
- Previous experience within the transportation industry is highly regarded
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with a high attention to detail
- Working towards Certificate IV Health & Safety or other qualification is desirable
