A significant opportunity exists for an experienced finance professional to assume a strategic role within our editorial division.

Job Description

This position involves providing critical financial support to our newsroom leaders, enabling informed decision-making and driving business growth. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial disciplines and be able to communicate complex concepts effectively to non-finance stakeholders.

The primary focus of this role is to manage the editorial cost base, with a strong emphasis on staff and content-related expenses. This includes leading budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and providing insightful analysis on financial performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Prior experience in finance or commercial accounting, preferably with a degree and/or a CA/CPA qualification.
  • Proven business partnering skills, including the ability to build trust and translate financial concepts for non-finance teams.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders.
  • Expertise in core financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
