Education Officer: Literacy Intervention

The successful candidate will lead the strategic development, implementation and evaluation of K-2 literacy programs across all primary schools.

This role focuses on designing and assessing targeted interventions in reading, comprehension and writing to ensure alignment with Tier 1 instruction. The Education Officer will deliver professional learning and provide ongoing support to school staff to enhance literacy outcomes and embed best practice.

  • Provide training to teachers on literacy intervention theory and practice offering ongoing feedback and professional support.
  • Facilitate capacity building elements of literacy intervention including data analysis and report preparation.
  • Collaborate with the diverse learning team to ensure processes and practices align in supporting students' diverse learning needs.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with Principals and teachers to successfully embed the literacy program.

To be successful in this position you must possess:

  • A university degree in education and current NESA accreditation at highly accomplished or lead level.
  • A minimum of five years teaching experience in a school with demonstrated success teaching K-3 classes.
  • Experience using data analysis to inform educational decisions and improving student outcomes.
  • Excellent written oral and presentation skills to articulate contemporary educational trends.
