About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Analyst to join our Cloud Analytics and Data Platforms Technology team. As a Data Governance Analyst, you will play a critical role in transforming our data governance capabilities across AGL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive onboarding program for new data stewards
  • Design and deliver training sessions on data governance policies, best practices, and tools for data stewards and other stakeholders
  • Serve as a point of contact for data stewards, addressing questions and providing guidance on data governance processes and tools
  • Monitor the performance and effectiveness of data stewardship activities, providing feedback and coaching as needed
  • Facilitate regular check-ins and workshops to discuss challenges, share successes, and promote collaboration among data stewards
  • Ensure that data management practices comply with relevant regulations and standards, monitor and assess data quality metrics, identify data quality issues, and work with data owners to resolve them
  • Prepare and present reports on data governance activities, data quality, and compliance status

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices. You should have a background in information management, business intelligence, or a related discipline, and be familiar with data governance tools such as Purview, Collibra, Informatica, or similar platforms and frameworks, such as DAMA-DMBOK.
