The role of a Population Health Epidemiologist involves conducting monitoring and surveillance of health status, and conducting population health research and evaluation.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated epidemiologist to work in a translational research context, utilizing their skills in epidemiology and evidence-based approaches to population health.
You will provide high-level advice on research methods to senior leaders and colleagues, utilizing your expertise in statistical and spatial methods relevant to population health.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct monitoring and surveillance of health status, and conduct population health research and evaluation.
- Provide high-level advice on research methods to senior leaders and colleagues.
- Post-graduate degree in public health, epidemiology or closely related area, or a combination of relevant study or experience.
- Experience in the use of routinely collected data in monitoring the health status of a population, and in secondary research.
- Experience in initiating and managing population health and related research projects.
- Experience in conducting systematic reviews to inform evidence-based population health programs.
- Experience in epidemiological, statistical and spatial methods relevant to population health.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinicians, researchers, and government agencies.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
