Cancer Care Coordinator Role">We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cancer Care Coordinator to lead our brand-new cancer program supporting First Nations communities in remote Northern Territory. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving health outcomes and making a positive impact on the lives of Indigenous Australians.">As a Cancer Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of region-wide cancer initiatives and screening strategies. You will work closely with clinical and health promotion staff, strengthen stakeholder partnerships, and improve access to screening and care pathways from the bush to the hospital.">Your key responsibilities will include:">
  • Developing and implementing cancer education programs for First Nations communities;">
  • Coordinating cancer screening services and ensuring timely referrals to medical specialists;">
  • Building relationships with local healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies to enhance cancer care services;">
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting outcomes to inform future service improvements;">

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Aboriginal Health Practitioner;">
  • Experience working in First Nations or remote health contexts;">
  • At least 3 years' experience in program coordination or clinical leadership;">
  • Strong understanding of cancer care or health promotion;">
  • Confidence engaging across communities, clinics, and hospitals;">
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills;">
">Bonus Points">Knowledge of national screening programs and referral systems, or background in stakeholder training, CQI, or Communicare would be highly regarded.
