Remote Dental Therapist Opportunity

Join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals in remote communities across the Northern Territory. As a Remote Dental Therapist, you will provide culturally safe and high-quality care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Job Description:

The NT Remote Locum Program is an Aboriginal-led workforce initiative dedicated to strengthening healthcare services in remote communities. We are seeking experienced dental therapists/oral health therapists to provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver culturally safe and high-quality dental care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.
  • Collaborate with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
  • Current Oral Health Scheduled Substance Treatment Protocol (SSTP) certificate within the past 2 years.
  • Current NT Radiation License or application for NT Radiation License.
  • Minimum 2 years full-time post-graduate clinical experience as a dental therapist.
  • Minimum 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience working as a dental therapist within the past 12 months.
  • Current BLS/CPR Certificate.
