We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Lines Claims Specialist to join our team.
Job DescriptionThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in claims management to work with one of the world's leading insurers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations, recommending adequate reserves, monitoring, documenting, and settling/closing claims in an efficient and cost-effective manner within prescribed authority limits for the line of business.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting detailed investigations into claims to ensure accurate assessment and resolution.
- Recommending adequate reserves to ensure timely and cost-effective settlement of claims.
- Monitoring and documenting claims progress to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Closing claims in a timely and efficient manner.
- Over 3 years of experience in financial lines claims management in the insurance or legal industry.
- Solid knowledge of the Insurance Contracts Act and ability to apply legal principles to claims management.
- Excellent working knowledge of PC-based systems and applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Commercially aware negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail, analysis, and time management skills.
- Ideal qualifications: Law degree or tertiary qualifications in a related discipline.
