Senior Neuropsychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Neuropsychologist to join our Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) team at Orygen, a program of The Royal Melbourne Hospital. As a key member of our specialist Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDD) team, you will provide expert neuropsychology assessment and consultation services to young people in custody who present with complex neuropsychological needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely and comprehensive neuropsychology assessments to inform diagnostic formulation and treatment recommendations.
- Consult and collaborate with the young person's care team and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Develop and implement evidence-based assessments and recommendations for treatment and support needs.
- Provide teaching, second opinion, and secondary consultation services to primary and specialist mental health services.
- Completion of an accredited Master or Doctoral program in Clinical Neuropsychology, recognized by the Psychology Board of Australia.
- General registration and Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Minimum experience in accordance with EBA requirements for this specialist position, including a minimum of 5 years experience in the application of Clinical Neuropsychology.
- Demonstrate experience in the application of clinical practice, particularly in youth mental health.
