Job Summary

The Alfred Health is seeking a Clinical Neuropsychologist to provide clinical neuropsychology services and positive behavior support to the Neurology Department, particularly The Stroke Unit. The successful candidate will participate in an interdisciplinary approach to treatment and care planning, contribute to quality improvement processes and educational programs within the Neurosciences Department, and participate in research projects. Supervision will be provided by one of the senior clinical neuropsychologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical neuropsychology services to patients with stroke, including assessment and treatment planning.
  • Contribute to quality improvement processes and educational programs within the Neurosciences Department.
  • Participate in research projects and contribute to the development of new knowledge and practices in clinical neuropsychology.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Requirements
  • Sound knowledge of neuropsychological syndromes and neuropsychological assessment techniques.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and experience in the application of neuropsychology in an acute health setting.
  • Registration under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009.
  • Master or doctoral degree in Neuropsychology.
  • Grade 3 - five years work experience as a Neuropsychologist, Endorsement in Neuropsychology and Approved Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Grade 2 - endorsement in Neuropsychology or enrolled in a registrar program.
