Senior Neuropsychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Neuropsychologist to join our Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) team at Orygen. As a key member of our specialist multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert neuropsychological assessments and consultations to support young people in custody who present with complex, neuropsychological needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely neuropsychology assessments and expert opinions regarding diagnostic formulation and treatment recommendations to support young people and their service providers in custody.
- Consult and liaise with the young person's care team and other key stakeholders in the community.
- Work in collaboration with the Custodial FYMHS Team Leads and the Custodial FYMHS multidisciplinary teams to develop excellence in clinical service delivery with evidenced-based assessments and recommendations for treatment and support needs.
- Provide teaching, second opinion, and secondary consultation to primary and specialist mental health services to assist in the care and clinical case management of a young person.
- Completion of an accredited Master or Doctoral program in Clinical Neuropsychology, recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Hold general registration AND an Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Minimum experience in accordance with EBA requirements for this specialist position, including a minimum of 5 years experience in the application of Clinical Neuropsychology.
- Demonstrate experience in the application of clinical practice, particularly in youth mental health.
- Knowledge of the youth justice and/or criminal justice system and other relevant settings is desirable.
