Training and Development Professional

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our team. As a Training and Development Professional, you will be responsible for driving compliance with Work Health and Safety regulations and established workplace policies and procedures.

  • You will actively participate in professional development activities on an ongoing basis, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
  • In addition, you will provide support in the administration of drug and alcohol testing, conduct and provide assistance with meetings, incident investigations, and equipment and work practice safety inspections.
  • You will engage and contribute to high-level incident investigations, preparing incident reports as required, and conduct and facilitate risk management procedures.
  • The successful candidate will also update and maintain the training management systems to ensure records are accurate and up-to-date, and perform accurate data entry and training administration.
  • Furthermore, you will drive the implementation of training procedures, strategies, systems, and initiatives, supporting the operational departments by providing exceptional training and advice.
  • You will also ensure that all training materials are up-to-date and meet both legislative and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Previous experience working as a Training Advisor within the mining or construction industries.
  • Proven experience with training management systems.
  • Holds a Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety.
  • Holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE401160).
  • Qualifications in incident investigation such as ICAM.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Mines Safety Inspection Act.
  • Hold a current C class WA drivers license.
  • Exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communications.
  • Has a safety-first mindset and a passion for health, safety, environment, and community.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
