Operator Maintainer Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Operator Maintainer based at the Geraldton Karara Export Terminal. We are seeking a suitably experienced individual who can ensure all operational requirements are met to site standards of efficiency, quality, and safety.

  • We operate on a flexible roster system, which includes 2 days, 2 nights on, 5 days off, 2 days, 3 nights on, 4 days off, and 3 days, 2 nights on, 5 days off.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  1. WA 'C' class Driver's Licence
  2. High Risk Work Licence
  3. Dogging (DG)
  4. Basic Rigging (RB)
  5. Elevated Work Platform (WP)
  6. Confined Space Ticket
  7. Working at Heights Ticket
  8. Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and understanding of port operations and process plant equipment
  9. Proven experience with fixed plant policies and procedures
  10. Strong understanding of scheduled maintenance systems and work order processes
  11. Ability to undertake problem-solving investigations and plan work accordingly
  12. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and computer programs
  13. Australian Citizenship or valid visa with permission to work
  14. National Police clearance required for MSIC

About This Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Operator Maintainer based at the Geraldton Karara Export Terminal. Located 200 km south-east of Geraldton in Perenjori, Western Australia, Karara has an expected mine life of over 30 years. The operation includes a large open-pit mine, processing plant, and extensive infrastructure, including an 80km railway linking the mine to the Port of Geraldton, capable of handling 16 Mtpa of export product.
