Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

This role is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team of skilled professionals, providing support to NDIS participants of all ages. You will be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team that guides and collaborates with each other.

About the Role:
  • Building strong relationships with participants and stakeholders is crucial in this position.
  • You will conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) to understand the needs of our clients.
  • Create and implement effective Behaviour Support Plans to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Educate and train carers and support teams to enhance their skills.
  • Review and reduce restrictive practices in line with NDIS guidelines.
  • Monitor outcomes through regular data collection to measure success.
Key Requirements:
  • To be successful in this role, you must be endorsed as 'Proficient' or above against the PBS Capability Framework.
  • A relevant bachelor's degree such as Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Counselling, Social, Disability, Teaching or Social Sciences is required.
  • You must have full Australian working rights and prior experience in community, private or acute settings.
  • Holding a current driver's licence and having access to your own vehicle is necessary for this role.
  • A NDIS Workers Check and Working with children check are also mandatory.
