Job Title

Food Preparation Assistant

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to a dynamic team as a part-time assistant in the deli department.
  • Prepare and slice meats, cheeses, vegetables, and fruits for salads, meals, and prepared foods using commercial equipment.
  • Assemble party trays, pizzas, and salads with precision and creativity.
  • Cook chickens and ribs in commercial rotisserie ovens and package products efficiently.
  • Label and prepare fish and sushi items according to established standards.
  • Operate automated wrapping machines to seal and label products with accuracy.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to strict health and safety protocols, including sanitation procedures and proper food handling practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to restock ingredients and supplies, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school certificate or equivalent required.
  • Food Safety Certification preferred.
  • Experience in food preparation and handling an asset.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with front-end duties as needed.
  • Support other departments within the warehouse as required.
