Job Title: Community & Government Netball Leader

OverviewNetball Australia is seeking a Community & Government Netball Leader to lead participation growth, community engagement, and government partnerships to grow the game across Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Build and lead relationships with State and Territory Member Organisations
  • Manage key performance indicators and track progress across community participation metrics
  • Lead participation growth, workforce capability improvement, stakeholder management, and tailored customer experiences
  • Provide strategic leadership to ensure netball's footprint and participation base grow
  • Develop and manage positive partnerships with sponsors, businesses, government, and other organisations
  • Foster collaborative partnerships with Member Organisations, Sport Australia, government departments, and system stakeholders
  • Support the work of Netball Australia in engaging commercial sponsors and partners
  • Develop and manage annual Netball Australia Community budgets
  • Increase netball's influence with Government at all levels through effective advocacy and engagement
  • Manage government funding relationships and pursue revenue opportunities
  • Maintain and enrich a government data intelligence repository
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • An understanding of Federated Sports models
  • A knowledge of the Australian sport sector
  • Strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation skills
  • Financial management and budgeting knowledge
  • Project management skills and lifecycle understanding
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Subject matter expertise in diversity and inclusive practice
