Job Title: Executive General Manager

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced leader to spearhead participation growth, community engagement, and government partnerships in Australia.

Our organisation values safety, inclusivity, and collaboration, striving to make Netball a sport for everyone.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with State and Territory Member Organisations, Australian Sports Commission, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead participation growth, workforce capability improvement, stakeholder and partnership management, and provision of tailored customer experiences.
  • Provide strategic leadership to ensure the growth and management of Netball participation by relevant stakeholders is focused on expanding the game's footprint and participation base.
  • Develop and manage positive partnerships with sponsors, businesses, government, and other organisations.
  • Foster collaborative partnerships with Member Organisations, Sport Australia, government departments, and other system stakeholders to drive growth.
Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of Federated Sports models, preferably with experience within Netball.
  • Ability to make complex decisions autonomously within legislation, regulations, strategies, and policies.
  • Knowledge of the Australian sport sector and capacity to engage with sector resources to achieve objectives.
  • Strong strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation skills.
  • Financial management and budgeting knowledge.
  • Project management skills and lifecycle understanding.
  • Excellent communication skills for influencing staff, stakeholders, and the netball community.
