About the Role

Our private business tax team is seeking an experienced Business Tax Specialist to join them based in Melbourne. As a key player in driving business growth, you'll develop strategic tax solutions for clients. You'll lead large, complex property-related projects, influencing the direction of our services.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with private business clients, understanding their unique tax needs and providing tailored advice.
  • Ensure clients meet their tax obligations by preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current regulations.
  • Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies to optimize their tax positions, including succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and reorganization.
  • Stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations, conducting in-depth research to provide clients with informed guidance.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Identify potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, protecting clients' interests.
  • Provide updates to clients on tax-related issues, helping them stay informed about changes in tax legislation.
