Key Performance Apparel Designer

Job Description:

Create high-performance, functional products that meet diverse client needs. This role involves crafting innovative designs, expanding your portfolio, and contributing to a leader in the uniform industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct proactive research into trends in fabrications, construction, trims, technology, and accessories.
  • Develop commercially viable product lines aligning with requirements and design briefs.
  • Critically analyze and improve existing products for enhanced functionality and performance.
  • Create comprehensive technical specifications for accurate product development.
  • Oversee fitting appraisals, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure optimal product fit and quality.
  • Manage critical path timelines and implement strategies to streamline development processes.
  • Evaluate roadblocks with solutions-focused approach to improve speed and efficiency.
  • Ensure product compliance through wearer trials, quality testing, and risk assessments.
  • Design cost-effective products meeting FOB price targets by optimizing materials and methods.
  • Monitor sampling and testing phases to ensure viability and performance standards.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years in a designer role.
  • Experience in workwear, performance apparel, or similar fields would be highly regarded.
  • Self-motivated with ability to manage own time and priorities to achieve goals.
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing at all levels.
  • Strong eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
