Job Overview:

Drawing Management System (DMS) Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled DMS Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely Drawing Management System services to internal and external stakeholders.

The role ensures the quality and validity of drawings in DMS, encompassing daily quality control, administration, and processing of asset drawings and data into the system.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily DMS transactions, bookings, and publishing according to standard DMS processes.
  • Provide accurate advice and information to internal and external stakeholders in accordance with DMS processes and relevant engineering standards.
  • Quality assure drawing information and associated data to ensure the accuracy of DMS.
  • Report DMS faults and errors in a timely manner to all relevant parties and log them according to DMS processes.
  • Perform minor drawing changes using Computer Aided Design (CAD).
  • Support configuration activities relating to the asset register, requirements management, and engineering standards register.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Sound computer skills, including familiarity with Database Management Systems (DBMS), CAD packages, and high level of alpha and numeric data entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, including the ability to maintain accurate records of drawings and data.
  • Well-developed customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all clients.
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex processes to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise and organise workloads to ensure deadlines are met.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in a Computer Aided Design (CAD) or DMS related discipline, or working experience in DMS, CAD, records management, or document control is mandatory.
  • A tertiary qualification in construction, project management, signalling, or any relevant technical field is desirable.
