Fire Alarm Technician/Electrician - Fire Protection Specialist

Wormald, a leading fire protection solutions provider, is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Fire Alarm Technician/Electrician to join our Darwin team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to build and further their career in an evolving industry.

About the Role

We are looking for an A-class electrician who would like to see themselves grow into an integral part of a market-leading fire protection organization. Alternatively, you are a Fire Alarm Technician seeking your next step. As a Fire Alarm Technician/Electrician, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out repairs to fire protection equipment to Australian Standards, including fire alarms, evacuation systems, and other equipment.
  • Routine testing of fire protection equipment in accordance with Australian Standards.
  • Liaising with customers, promoting a professional and friendly environment.
  • Ensuring compliance to Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
  • Completion of service records and use of PDA/EDA's.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong customer focus and a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and lead others.
  • Basic smartphone and IT knowledge.
  • A current Police clearance or ability to obtain the same.
  • Strong commitment to safety in all activities.
  • Current valid Driver's Licence.
  • Current Electrical Licence preferred, but not essential.
  • Ability to travel and work away from home, as required.
