About the Role
We are seeking a fully qualified Electrician to enhance our Fire Protection Services division. The ideal candidate will possess over 2 years of electrical experience, ideally within the Fire Protection sector, and demonstrate a strong eagerness to expand their knowledge in various fire industry domains, particularly in the testing and maintenance of portable fire systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct installation programming, troubleshooting, and repair of fire panels, EWIS, and various fire electrical apparatus.
  2. Manage the installation, modification, and servicing of FDCIE, EWCIE, FFCP, pump interface equipment, emergency exit lighting, and other fire electrical systems.
  3. Collaborate with air conditioning BMS systems.
  4. Assess customer locations and recommend appropriate fire protection and safety systems in compliance with Equans procedures and relevant Australian Standards.
  5. Ensure thorough inspection and testing of all portable fire equipment, including extinguishers and hose reels.
  6. Participate in the on-call roster as necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications:
Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
Electrical License.
Highly Desirable:
Additional licenses for Electrical Installation and Maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems.
Additional licenses for Electrical Inspection and Testing of Emergency Lighting.
Additional licenses for Portable Equipment Installation and Maintenance.
