About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Underground Service Locator to collaborate closely with our Project Manager, office team, and client representatives on Civil Projects.

Key responsibilities include conducting underground service location assessments, drainage investigations, utility surveying, and mapping. To excel in this role, you should be a results-oriented individual with a passion for accuracy in site asset identification.

A certification as a DBYD Utility Locator is essential for this position. You will also be required to liaise with clients and project stakeholders, undertake physical work, and identify types of services/utilities and providers.

  • Conduct asset investigation utilising Dial Before You Dig plans
  • Utilise Electromagnetic Service Locator and Ground Penetration Radar (GPR) to identify depth, orientation and position of underground assets
  • Communicate findings effectively with project managers, construction crews, and clients
  • Reviewing plans to ensure all data has been collected and annotated correctly
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in underground utility locating
  • Record keeping, data entry, sketches, and instructions as required to complete the works safely
