Job Title: Communications Officer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Communications Officer to join our team in a 24/7 operational environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to provide high-quality customer service to the people of NSW and our internal stakeholders.

The role involves providing information and assistance to the public through a range of communication systems, including email, phone, and in-person. You will be responsible for logging, updating, and managing information in real-time, working independently and as part of a team in a time-critical environment.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent organisational skills, including efficient time management, prioritisation of tasks, and the ability to work within defined procedures. You will also need to have excellent computer skills, including the ability to touch type at speed and accuracy, and demonstrate competence with Windows-based computer applications.

About the Role
  • Provide high-quality customer service to the people of NSW and our internal stakeholders.
  • Play a key role in a 24/7 operational environment, using a range of communication systems to log, update, and manage information in real-time.
  • Work independently and as part of a team in a time-critical environment.
Requirements
  • Available to complete an initial training program consisting of a 2-week full-time course followed by 4 x 12.5 hour shifts scheduled within the following 2 week period.
  • Excellent computer skills, including the ability to touch type at speed and accuracy, and demonstrate competence with Windows-based computer applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organisational skills, including efficient time management, prioritisation of tasks, and the ability to work within defined procedures.
