About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Communication Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work with children who have communication disorders, developing and implementing individualised speech pathology plans. They will conduct assessments and provide interventions in various settings, including home, clinic, school, and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose communication disorders in children
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each child's needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, early interventionists, and dietitians
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to relevant legislation and standards
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices and research

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an Australian university
  • Registration with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's licence and access to your own car
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Solid knowledge in paediatric theory and intervention
