$90,000 - $120,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Psychiatric Emergency Care team. As an Advanced AOD Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care, assess and manage patients with alcohol and other drug-related presentations, and develop and implement treatment plans.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also be responsible for providing education and training to staff members, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide advanced nursing practice in the assessment and management of patients with alcohol and other drug-related presentations.
  2. Develop and implement treatment plans that meet individual patient needs.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  4. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and policy development.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Degree-qualified or postgraduate qualified in nursing or a related field.
  • Experience working in a psychiatric emergency care setting or equivalent experience.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of alcohol and other drug-related conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
