Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Psychiatric Emergency Care team. As an Advanced AOD Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care, assess and manage patients with alcohol and other drug-related presentations, and develop and implement treatment plans.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also be responsible for providing education and training to staff members, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced nursing practice in the assessment and management of patients with alcohol and other drug-related presentations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that meet individual patient needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and policy development.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Degree-qualified or postgraduate qualified in nursing or a related field.
- Experience working in a psychiatric emergency care setting or equivalent experience.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of alcohol and other drug-related conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
