Senior Social Worker – Locality Team

Location: Normanton
Pay Rate: £32 per hour

About the Role:

This is a vital position within Children's Services, where you will be responsible for managing cases from referral through to assessment, Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Public Law Outline (PLO), and initial court proceedings.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families and thrive in a fast-paced, supportive, and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Hold and manage a caseload from initial referral through to assessment, CIN, CP, PLO, and initial proceedings.
  • Undertake statutory assessments and develop child-focused plans that address identified risks and needs.
  • Work in partnership with children, families, and multi-agency professionals to ensure effective safeguarding and support.
  • Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, core groups, legal planning meetings, and court proceedings.
  • Conduct home visits, direct work with children, and multi-agency meetings to monitor progress and review plans.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records in line with statutory and local requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and continuous professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Post-qualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
