Health and Safety Manager

At Visy, we're committed to creating a better world through sustainable packaging, recycling, and re-manufacturing. We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Health Safety Environment Manager to join our team and drive our safety and health culture across our Melbourne and broader VIC sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and drive the site's safety and health culture, fostering a high-performance HSE culture by engaging and coaching managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Provide expertise in the management of business risk, implementing and maintaining HSE initiatives, codes of practice, policies, and risk management strategies.
- Engage and coach managers, supervisors, and employees to foster a high-performance HSE culture, influencing the HSE change management process.
- Work closely with key personnel to ensure the HSE approach is sustainable and aligned with the organisation's HSE strategy, coordinating the implementation of all aspects of the HSE management systems.
- Facilitate cultural change and increase line managers' capabilities to drive HSE performance, ensuring and maintaining appropriate relationships with stakeholders regarding site HSE requirements.
- Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WH&S)
- Proven experience in a heavy manufacturing HSE role, with strong knowledge of HSE management systems and risk management strategies.
- Proficiency in MS Office products, Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong stakeholder management, excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Ability to influence and drive cultural change, with a strong understanding of HSE principles and practices.
