In-House Legal Advisor

Avant Mutual seeks a highly skilled and experienced In-House Legal Advisor to provide corporate, commercial and financial services legal advice and governance support to the organization.
- Provide timely and accurate legal advice on a wide range of matters including contracts, marketing material, insurance products and statutory compliance.
- Review and advise on commercial agreements, contracts and other documents to ensure they meet business objectives and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, employees and external parties.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial law, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements- Tertiary qualifications (LLB or equivalent)
- Current practising certificate as a solicitor in NSW or another Australian state
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in a mid or top-tier firm or in-house team
- Experience in providing commercial legal advice and contract review and drafting
- Previous experience working in an insurance and/or Australian financial services environment
