Job Title: International Import Manager

Costco Wholesale is a global retailer with a presence in 14 countries, operating over 875 locations. We are seeking an experienced International Import Manager to join our growing International Import/Export Logistics team.

Job Summary:

The International Import Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Costco AU/NZ's import/export/domestic supply chain. This includes managing relationships with key stakeholders, such as Home Office, Warehouses, Global Offices, Depot, Suppliers, Service Providers, and Government entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the import/export/domestic supply chain team
  • Oversee the movement of import and export cargo end to end from origin to point of destination
  • Troubleshoot and facilitate smooth flow of import and export goods
  • Provide visibility of goods in transit to internal stakeholders
  • Assist in the preparation of RFI's/EOI documentation for international freight, import brokerage and domestic transport
  • Negotiate international freight, import brokerage and domestic transport contracts
  • Oversee freight request and analysis
  • Manage and coordinate domestic transport activities, including contract negotiation and KPI reporting
  • Oversee cargo insurance claims
  • Monitor employee performance and ensure department procedures are followed
  • Attend meetings with manager and service providers
  • Participate in team's performance reviews
  • Provide ongoing support and training to internal stakeholders on matters relating to international supply chain

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, Accounting/Finance, Communications or International Business
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
