International Import/Export Logistics Role at Costco Wholesale

Costco Wholesale is a global retailer with over 772 locations in 12 countries, catering to both business and individual members. We are dedicated to quality in every area of our business and are seeking a skilled International Import/Export Logistics professional to join our growing team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to assist with import and export logistic functions and system data entry. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics and customs clearance procedures, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full function import and export into Australia and New Zealand, including place bookings with freight forwarders/shipping lines, compiling and processing of all import/export documentation, and preparation of import customs clearance.
  • Liaising with freight forwarders, customs brokers, couriers, transport companies, 3PL, and shipping lines to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Providing visibility and assistance to the wider buying team of import/export shipments by sea, air, or courier.
  • Reporting of deviations in Supply Chain and charges incurred.
  • Facilitating the processing of duty and freight rate requests, and import/export requirements.
  • Assisting in the preparation of freight, warehousing, transport quotes, and problem-solving and issue resolution for both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Marketing (Channels), Supply Chain, Accounting/Finance, Communications, or International Business.
  • Strong attention to detail, responsible, logical, proactive, studious, hands-on, willing to learn, and able to prioritize.
  • Approachable with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, evaluation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong math and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, with strong organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides) proficiency.
