The role of Hotel Manager involves overseeing the daily operations and management of a hotel or resort. Key responsibilities include managing payments, maintaining the general upkeep and security of the property, assisting guests with check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries, addressing minor maintenance issues or liaising with tradespeople when needed, cleaning and preparing guest rooms to a high standard, managing housekeeping staff including their wages, maintaining cleanliness of communal areas and outdoor spaces, monitoring and restocking housekeeping supplies, managing laundry facilities and ensuring all linen is organised and prepared, networking with local businesses to build customer base, and connecting with the local community to ensure a friendly and well-known service in the area.
About You- Previous experience in hotel management is essential for this position.
- RMS knowledge is also crucial for success in this role.
- Friendly and approachable candidates with a focus on guest satisfaction are highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary for effective management of the hotel.
- The ability to work independently and handle a variety of tasks is also required.
- A practical mindset and willingness to perform light maintenance tasks when required make an ideal candidate for this position.
