About the Role

As a Senior Risk Manager with our client, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the risk management strategy for nation-building renewable energy projects. With a strong focus on corporate governance, assurance, and policy, you will lead the development and implementation of fit-for-purpose risk & analytics structures and systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team based in Sydney CBD + WFH 2 days per week. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for guiding, coaching, and mentoring the wider team.

The Opportunity

You will have the chance to contribute to the development of the central pillar to any renewable energy project, working with a leading Australian high voltage electricity transmission operator. Your expertise will drive improvements in the consistency of risk management practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead and implement a systematic approach to corporate and tactical governance, assurance, risk management, and policy.
  • Develop and implement whole-of-risk project assurance processes.
  • Drive improvements in the consistency of risk management practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Embed risk, quality, and assurance structures into processes, systems, people capabilities, and reporting.
  • Provide risk assessments and costing of options to assist with investment decision-making for projects.
  • Develop all plans and processes required to deliver on Project Controls risk management functional excellence.
  • Maintain relationships with internal teams to ensure delivery and quality assurance.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline.
  • Qualifications in project management (advanced diploma desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience as a risk manager or proven equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the development and approval of large-scale linear infrastructure projects will be desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in quantitative modeling across key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience collaborating across various construction stakeholders to identify risks and work collaboratively identified risks.
  • Advanced capability in risk software such as Palisade @Risk, and familiarity with other risk management tools.
  • Experience in contract management is desirable.
  • Experience leading multiple teams simultaneously.
  • Full Australian working rights.
