The Data Systems Support Specialist will provide support to business users to ensure incidents and requests are resolved within an appropriate timeframe and perform system administration functions for Investa's business applications.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • 2nd & 3rd level support to Investa's business users to ensure incidents and requests are resolved within an appropriate timeframe, including but not limited to Yardi Voyager, MRI, and Microsoft SharePoint based applications
  • Support for the adoption of forward-looking technologies including the adoption of business analytics and data warehousing, driven by anticipated outcomes of the companies Innovation process
  • Review and improve business operational efficiency through the design of system solutions and associated processes to meet business needs
  • Design solutions and business specifications for new systems and / or system enhancements
  • Work closely with business and system/process owners to identify shortcomings and issues with current processes and systems to create innovative solutions which meet business needs
  • Document and drive consensus on application functionality and requirements
  • Work with outside consultants, application vendors and internal resources to deliver solutions
  • Think 'outside the box', identifying not only system solutions, but also possible operational workarounds
  • Efficient & effective management of the support ticket process
  • Identification of Business opportunities/issues
  • Owning and seeing incidents and request through to resolution
  • Create and maintain system documentation

What you'll need to be successful:

  • A Business/IT degree and/or relevant work experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in an IT business systems role
  • Experience maintaining a support ticket queue
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and identify system solutions/design to meet business needs
  • Good listening skills is essential
  • Ability to liaise with all levels of staff internally
  • Knowledge of property industry systems (Yardi and MRI) is highly desirable
  • Sound understanding of Microsoft technologies including Office 365, SharePoint, Dynamics, business analytics, SQL
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts is desirable
