Primary Healthcare Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Primary Healthcare Specialist to provide comprehensive primary healthcare to young people and their children.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general practice, with experience working with vulnerable populations. They will also possess excellent organisational, planning, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

The specialist will be responsible for delivering comprehensive primary healthcare, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, referral, and advocacy. They will also collaborate with external providers, order and follow up on diagnostic tests, and document clinical care accurately.

  • Deliver comprehensive primary healthcare to young people and their children, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, referral, and advocacy.
  • Collaborate and refer to external providers, including general practices, specialists, and allied health services across the region.
  • Document clinical care accurately to meet medical, privacy, and reporting standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Vocational Registration as a GP, with ongoing participation in quality assurance and continuing professional development.
  • Minimum of 2 years as a General Practitioner, with knowledge of the needs of vulnerable young people and their families.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
