Project Manager - Government Projects

RPS Group, a market leader in project management, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Cairns. This role will involve working on government projects within the company's Project Management division, with opportunities for development and growth.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Building and Construction, Infrastructure, Contract Management, Refit, Property Management, and similar sectors. A tertiary qualification in Construction, Property, Engineering, or related field is desirable, as well as strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple tasks and prioritize them effectively;
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and timelines;
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget;
  • Maintain relationships with clients and ensure customer satisfaction;
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently;
  • Monitor and report on project progress, providing recommendations for improvement;

Requirements:

  • Australian Citizen;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in government sectors;
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards;
  • Strong understanding of contract management, risk management, and issue resolution;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
