Job Title: Medical Instrument Specialist

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and supplying all medical instruments and items. Key activities include monitoring equipment usage, preparing sterilization processes, supervising staff, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain efficient use of equipment and resources in the department
  • Prepare and carry out assembly, packaging, and sterilizing processes as per policy statements
  • Supervise staff to ensure tasks and standards are met
  • Perform sterilization duties as required
  • Check inventory to ensure adequate supplies are available
  • Maintain accurate records

Qualifications and Skills

  • Certificate in Sterilisation at AQF3 or equivalent
  • Previous relevant experience with ability to teach and coordinate
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other team members
