We are seeking a seasoned Senior Energy Transactions Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of energy or infrastructure transactions in Australia, with a proven track record of advising on commercial contracts and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the negotiation, drafting, and review of a wide range of commercial contracts, including EPC contracts, supply and install contracts, balance of plant contracts, PPAs/offtake agreements, connection agreements, and O&M agreements.
  • Advise on land acquisitions, planning approvals, and general commercial matters, including NDAs, consultancy agreements, services agreements, and disputes.
  • Provide strategic advice on regulatory matters such as FIRB, Australian Financial Services Licences, and Critical Infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative and adaptable individual with strong problem-solving, commercial, and communication skills. They will thrive in dynamic and evolving environments and have a proven ability to influence outcomes.

Requirements
  • Admitted as a lawyer in Australia.
  • Practising as a projects or energy lawyer for 4-8 years in private practice or in-house.
  • Strong understanding of energy or infrastructure transactions in Australia.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence outcomes.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and self-motivated.
  • Strong problem-solving, commercial, and communication skills.
  • Thrives in dynamic and evolving environments.
